Sometimes an ordinary conveyor is not sufficient, and one must go a step further with a so-called wedge conveyor. This is achieved with two conveyors tilted over 90°, which are directed towards each other and between which the products to be transported are clamped. The advantages are that the products cannot fall over, that they are positioned perfectly in the centre and that they can also be transported over vertical stretches.
Spiral-shaped conveyors are used to bridge a difference in height or as a buffer transport.
